For British IT entrepreneur Mike Lynch and his family, what ought to have been a victorious farewell into the sunset became a heartbreaking incident.

On August 21, search teams discovered the terrifying item among the wreckage of Lynch’s luxurious superyacht, Bayesian. Off the coast of Sicily, a rare and vicious waterspout known as the “black swan” hit the ship, causing it to capsize.

The identities of the two additional bodies—a male and a woman—that were found in the master bedroom are still unknown. Even worse, a fifth corpse remains trapped in the ship’s undersea cemetery, which was formerly exquisite.

The authorities are running out of time to find the American couple Chris and Neda Morvillo, as well as Jonathan Bloomer, a senior executive at Morgan Stanley, and his wife Judy. Recaldo Thomas, the chef at Bayesian, was rescued earlier on Monday, adding more dimensions to this mounting naval tragedy.

Jim Dale, a former meteorologist and forecaster for the Royal Navy, explained how the waterspout affected Lynch’s battleship. Because there are so many waterspouts in the area, he claimed that the incident has “anaemology written all over it.”

On the day of the catastrophe, records state that there were approximately nineteen waterspouts in the area, making the situation extremely perilous. Dale thinks the captain of the yacht probably acted cautiously after getting weather alerts.

But it’s more likely that they unintentionally increased their own risk by mooring the ship at sea rather than in a port. Additionally, he speculated that since some survivors had been notified earlier, they may have avoided the worst of the storm.

The maritime disaster has shocked people all around the world, which has raised many questions and concerns about the actual nature of the event. Many individuals believe there may be more to the story than meets the eye because there are a lot of hypotheses and points of view on social media.
