So clever—I came up with this on my own

When my grandma first showed me her dryer vent hack, I doubted it—but it worked. A clean vent is essential: lint buildup is a fire hazard, reduces efficiency, raises energy costs, and shortens your dryer’s life.
What You Need
Most people already have the tools:
Vacuum with hose attachment
Flexible dryer vent brush
Leaf blower
Step-by-Step Cleaning
Unplug the dryer and move it from the wall.
Vacuum the vent opening to clear visible lint.
Insert the brush, rotating gently to loosen debris.
Vacuum again to collect loosened lint.
Outside, insert the leaf blower into the vent and turn it on to push out remaining blockages.
Reassemble, plug back in, and test.

Why It Works
The brush dislodges lint, the vacuum removes it, and the leaf blower clears what’s left. This three-step combo ensures a deep clean without dismantling the system.
Safety Tips
Always unplug the dryer first.
Wear goggles when using the blower.

Check the vent for damage needing professional repair.
Simple yet effective, this method boosts dryer performance, saves energy, and lowers fire risk. Thanks to my grandma’s trick, I now clean my vent regularly—and notice the difference every time.
