Pat Sajak discusses his emergency surgery and says he believed he was going to die from the pain

Pat Sajak, beloved host of Wheel of Fortune, recently opened up about a harrowing health scare that left him fearing for his life. During an appearance on Good Morning America, Sajak recounted the terrifying ordeal of undergoing emergency surgery for a blocked bowel.

The ordeal began unexpectedly as Sajak returned home from his routine walk with his daughter, suddenly gripped by excruciating stomach pain. Rushed to the hospital, he endured agonizing discomfort despite various attempts at pain relief.

Lying in bed in a fetal position, Sajak found himself grappling with unbearable pain that seemed unrelenting. However, a sudden shift occurred when a painkiller finally took effect, offering relief from the agony and inducing a surreal experience of tranquility.

In the midst of the medicated haze, Sajak found himself contemplating mortality, his senses dulled as he heard distant voices of loved ones nearby. Confronted with the possibility of death, he grappled with the emotional toll it might take on his family.
