Keanu Reeves reveals serious injury he suffered recently while filming latest movie

Keanu Reeves is undoubtedly one of the most beloved actors of his generation. With an illustrious career spanning blockbuster action films, poignant dramas, and even some unexpected forays into comedy, Reeves has cemented his status as a true Hollywood icon. So when news broke that the 59-year-old had suffered an injury while filming his latest project, fans were understandably concerned.

In a recent appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Reeves recounted the unlikely circumstances that led to his broken kneecap. Contrary to what one might expect from an actor known for his daring stunts, Reeves revealed that the injury occurred not during an action-packed sequence, but rather during a routine moment on set.

“I was walking into the dressing room, a room. I will tell it quick,” Reeves explained to Colbert. “And I spiked. Like, spiked. Just drove it into the ground.”

The injury took place while Reeves was filming a scene for the upcoming comedy “Good Fortune,” which marks the directorial debut of his co-star Aziz Ansari. Reeves, Ansari, and fellow comedian Seth Rogen were in the midst of filming a scene in a cold plunge when the unfortunate incident occurred.

“Comedy is hard, man,” Reeves joked, demonstrating how his knee had given way as he was doing the “cold shuffle” across the protective carpeted floor.

Despite the setback, Reeves has remained in good spirits, showcasing the same affable charm and wry sense of humor that has endeared him to fans worldwide. He even lightheartedly compared his experience to host Stephen Colbert’s own life, quipping, “Welcome to my life.”
