Steve Lawrence: A Musical Legend Lives On

Famous singer Steve Lawrence, who had a lovely voice and timeless songs, fought bravely against Alzheimer’s illness till passing away at the age of 88. An extraordinarily beautiful span of time came to an end when his death was announced in a heartfelt press release. When Lawrence revealed his diagnosis to the public in 2019, he bravely talked about his personal struggle with the illness.

Over the course of his incredible career, Lawrence left a lasting mark on the music industry with his enthralling performances. The songs “Go Away Little Girl” from 1963 and other chart-topping hits are what made him most famous, along with his ability to sing and perform on stage like no other.

As he reflected on his father’s incredible legacy, David Lawrence, Steve’s son, felt deep emotions and described his father as an inspiration who had a tremendous impact on a large number of people. David loved recollections of his father’s magnetic personality, sense of humor, and boundless talent—both as a solitary performer and in tandem with his extraordinarily gifted wife, Eydie Gormé.
