At my wedding, my ex arrived pregnant — My wife asked a single question, and the answer that followed made me lose everything

Growing up, my parents didn’t have much. We were poor, but I always did my best to succeed in life.

At college, I was that handsome, intelligent guy every girl admired, but I wasn’t interested in anyone. In fact, I needed to work-part time in order to pay for my studies and I didn’t even have time for love.

There was this girl, Val, who was into me so much that she did everything to win me over. She helped me with food, clothes, and even helped me with my tuition at times. Her family was rich and influential, and I loved that about her.

Eventually, we got married, although I was never in love with her. No matter how cruel it sounds, I was with her just because I knew her dad would help me land a well-paying job.

Whenever I was intimate with Val, I felt uncomfortable. I knew how much she loved me, but I simply couldn’t love her back.

We stayed married for three years, a time during which she begged me to check myself out because we couldn’t have children, but the truth was that I didn’t even want to have kids with her.

Eventually, my indifference led to our separation.

Shortly after, I got involved with a business partner whom I admired for quite some time. After a year of dating, I popped the question.

On the day of my wedding, out of the blue, Val appeared in the middle of the ceremony. She wasn’t invited, and I was shocked to see her there. How did she even know I was getting married that day?

On the day of my wedding, out of the blue, Val appeared in the middle of the ceremony. She wasn’t invited, and I was shocked to see her there. How did she even know I was getting married that day?

EzoicWhat was even more shocking was that she was heavily pregnant.

My ex-wife approached closer and congratulated us on our wedding. Her presence attracted the attention of the guests. At one moment, she said, “If I could turn back time, I would never have wasted my youth on a man who never loved me and only used my money. My biggest regret was marrying you.” Just as she was about to leave, my new wife suddenly asked, “Whose child are you carrying?”

The answer shattered my entire world.

She explained that during our three years of marriage, I always blamed her for our infertility, even though her tests were normal. I refused to get checked and insisted the problem was hers. She said she became pregnant the first time she was with her new partner.

My bride was so shocked she dropped her bouquet. When I asked her to finish the ceremony, she refused and insisted we get a fertility test before anything else. She told me she didn’t want to risk a marriage like her brother’s, who spent years trying for a child only to end in divorce. She said she couldn’t marry a man who might not be able to have children.

In the end, I couldn’t blame either woman. My own arrogance and selfishness brought me here, and now I’m paying for the way I treated my ex-wife.
