Derek Prue Jr., an 8-year-old boy from Alberta, Canada, was born with a large birthmark on his chest. While the birthmark is harmless, it made him self-conscious and worried about what other kids might say. Derek didn’t want to be different from everyone else.

But little did he know that his father had a heartwarming surprise in store for him. Derek’s dad went to great lengths to ensure that his son never had to suffer from a lack of confidence again. He got a giant tattoo that perfectly matched Derek’s birthmark.
