Right after 11 surgical procedures and tricky rehabilitation Aimee thankfully succeeded and managed to cope with it – but she had to amputate both of those hands and legs.

Slowly but surely but certainly, Aimee tailored to her new lifetime, and now 4 many years soon after the incident, this photo of the warrior was spreading on social media, inspiring countless numbers on the internet.

There, carrying a bikini on the seaside, Aimee’s proudly exhibiting off her human body just as it is – with scars and amputated limbs.

She wrote: “It has taken me a prolonged time to come to be cozy with and take my new system. We are ALL produced with imperfections and there is so considerably magnificence in our flaws. The scars and skin grafting build character! It is not about what you have — what you do with what you have is what truly counts.”

Today, in 2023, Aimee Copeland is an advocate for amputee and disability rights, and she proceeds to encourage many others by means of her community talking engagements and social media posts.

In addition to her advocacy function, Aimee is pursuing a Ph.D. in psychology at the College of West Ga.
