Kathie Lee Gifford Hospitalized with Fractured Pelvis After Fall amid Hip Replacement Recovery (Exclusive)

Kathie Lee Gifford exclusively tells PEOPLE that as she was recovering from her most recent hip replacement surgery, she collapsed and ended up in the hospital.

The 70-year-old former Today co-host asserts that following a double pelvic fracture, she was admitted to the hospital for over a week in order to undertake physical treatment.

Gifford says she has “moved 300 books by herself” at book signings in Nashville. She says, “I made my body weaker.” “I am responsible for it.”

The next day, one of Gifford’s friends stopped over to talk to her. Gifford says she hurried to the door and “just tripped.”
