Kelly Clarkson Reveals Her Body Transformation Secrets

She also mentioned that she enjoys infrared saunas and took a cold plunge because everybody wore her down and talked her into doing it.

Exercise is only part of what drives her to be healthier. She also says that she eats a healthy mix, which is important for her because she does enjoy eating.

She said: “I dropped weight because I’ve been listening to my doctor – a couple years I didn’t. And 90% of the time I’m really good at it because a protein diet is good for me anyway. I’m a Texas girl, so I like meat – sorry, vegetarians in the world!”

She also mentions that she still splurges on occasion, such as having a frozen yogurt with her daughter the other night. She called it magical.

In addition to working on her physique, she also has been battling depression after getting divorced from her husband of seven years. She said: “I didn’t see it other than: This is my outlet. I’m a let-go person; I don’t hold grudges. So it was really delving into what happened in my life and why – and what am I going to do about it?

“I cannot express how appreciative I feel for having that kind of healthy outlet. Because the level of depression and things that come with divorce or grieving is extraordinarily hard. You feel alone, and it’s just a blessing to be able to have that outlet for those emotions that are overwhelming,” she continued before adding that there was a light at the end of the tunnel.

“Finally releasing it [was] like, ‘I’m taking my power back,’” Clarkson added. “That sounds very therapy, but that’s because I love therapy, and I think it’s important to have those tools to navigate your life and relationships.”
