Meghan’s comments about Princess Charlotte were so cruel it ended the relationship with Kate

The relationship between Meghan Markle and Princess Kate has long been the subject of intense public scrutiny. Despite both women joining the royal family as non-aristocratic outsiders, they struggled to form the close bond many had hoped for.

As Meghan and Prince Harry’s 2018 wedding approached, tensions between the duchesses escalated, culminating in a now-infamous incident involving a disagreement over bridesmaid dresses.

Initial reports suggested that Meghan had made Kate cry during this disagreement. However, it was later revealed that the roles were actually reversed, with Meghan being the one in tears. Prince Harry even confirmed that Kate had sent flowers to Meghan as a gesture of apology.

But there was more to the story than just a disagreement over dresses. In his book “Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War between the Windsors,” author Tom Bower claimed that Meghan had compared Princess Charlotte unfavorably to her best friend Jessica Mulroney’s daughter, Ivy. These comments, according to Bower’s unnamed sources, further strained Meghan’s relationship with Kate.

The book also revealed that Kate had been “tired” after giving birth to her third child, Prince Louis, just weeks before the wedding. The now-Princess of Wales was reportedly too exhausted to engage in arguments with Meghan over traditional royal protocols, such as whether the bridesmaids should wear tights.

This episode is just one of many incidents that have reportedly contributed to the ongoing tension between Meghan and Kate. The strained relationship between the two duchesses has had wider implications for royal family dynamics, often mirroring the broader tensions between Prince Harry and Prince William.
