Remembering A Beloved Star from Our Childhood

A Kind Heart and a Talented Performer

Benji Gregory began his career on television as a small child in the 1980s. He was born on May 26, 1978, in a suburb of Los Angeles. He starred in several well-known television shows, including Steven Spielberg’s “Amazing Stories,” “T.J. Hooker,” “Punky Brewster,” “The Twilight Zone,” and “The A-Team.” Even at a young age, his charisma and talent were apparent in movies.

Remembering Benji’s Love of Dogs

Benji Gregory was not only a talented actor but also a dog lover. On Instagram, he showcased his interests, with “Lover of dogs” holding a prominent position. He spoke extensively about Hans, his assistance dog, who supported and showed him love throughout his life.

Preserving Benji’s legacy

Benji Gregory’s sister Rebecca has urged anyone who wishes to make a donation in his honor to either The Actors Equity Foundation or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). These organizations are dedicated to fostering the arts and preventing cruelty to animals.

A Final Thought

Benji’s farewell Instagram post on April 10 touched us. “I wish my dog, Hans, would grow out of this ‘tagging’ phase already,” the caption read. It showed a photo of a pavement. Now, that post serves as a heartfelt farewell to a beloved performer and his beloved dog.

Benji Gregory passed away tragically, leaving a void in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him. His portrayal of Brian Tanner in “ALF” will always be etched in our minds. During this difficult time, we are offering our deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and fans.
