The dogs were really tired and thirsty, so Trevor gave them some protein bar nibbles and water. They returned to the chopper, which transported them to Chico Airport, after following his instructions. Staff from the North Valley Animal Disaster Group took care of them there.
The Park Fire has caused a significant deal of damage and destruction; as of right now, 192 structures have been destroyed, and many people are without a place to live and are worried about the future.
However, the dogs’ unlikely survival and rescue offer a glimmer of hope amidst this calamity.
“We are thankful to be able to share this amazing story after a horrific few days for our community,” the Butte County Sheriff’s Office stated in a post.
After 14% of the fire was put out, the person suspected of setting it has been apprehended. Firefighters and emergency personnel are still putting out the fire and tending to the injured with great diligence.
We are appreciative of the rescuers that entered to save these puppies and their mother; it’s incredible that they survived for several days!
