Simone Biles Takes a Stand Against Hair Criticism

Simone Biles, the most accomplished gymnast in history, has gained attention recently due to her amazing Olympic achievements. But some were more focused on her hair than her accomplishments, disregarding them. Biles didn’t mince words while addressing these issues.

Gymnasts usually style their hair to keep it out of their faces so they can concentrate on their routines. Despite her tremendous talent and accomplishment, Biles’ hair received a lot of negative comments on social media. Some people called it messy or untidy.

Biles addressed the critics on social media in response. She shared a photo of herself with her hair pulled back into a ponytail and a note that obscured the negative comments. “Don’t come after me over my hair,” Biles confidently said in her message. The bus is finished, but it lacks air conditioning and is quite hot. Added to which is a 45-minute ride. In the image below, she is seen complaining about the heat and fanning her face while adding, “JUST DON’T the next time you wanna comment on a Black girl’s hair.”
