The Life and Career of Oscar Winning Actress, Sally Field

Actress Sally Field is well-known for her roles in the movies Forrest Gump, Brothers and Sisters, Lincoln, and Steel Magnolias. She has won multiple accolades, including the Academy, Emmy, and Golden Globes.The 76-year-old actress debuted in a motion picture in 1965, playing the lead character in “Gidget.” Since then, she has acted in several TV shows, movies, and Broadway shows. Field has also been outspoken about her own difficulties. In her 2018 memoir “In Pieces,” she talks about her struggles with loneliness, sadness, and self-doubt in addition to being sexually molested by her stepfather.

The Inception of Her Career

Sally Field was born in Pasadena, California, on November 6, 1946. Her mother was the actress Margaret Field (née Morlan), and her father was the salesman Richard Dryden Field. After her parents’ divorce, her mother wed stuntman and actor Jock Mahoney. Richard Field is Sally’s brother, and Princess O’Mahoney is her half-sister.
