Anna and Hope Richards were born conjoined at the chest and abdomen, sharing a diaphragm, liver, and a major blood vessel. Because of this, they struggled to move or lie comfortably. After months of preparation, a team of 75 doctors performed a complex seven-hour surgery when the girls were just over one year old. The operation succeeded, separating them safely. Today Anna and Hope are healthy, growing, playing, and living as two independent sisters. Their lives began with courage and medical dedication and love daily.
