Tom Selleck and Bridget Moynahan said of Treat Williams’ death, “We lost a good one.”

Acknowledgments from Other Stars

Vanessa Ray, who plays Eddie Janko-Reagan’s wife, paid tribute to Williams on Instagram. She nostalgically recalled a time when Williams had serenaded her with a song from the television series Hair in which she had appeared. Ray congratulated him on his brilliance, kindness, and excellent looks and wished him a pleasant sleep.

Recollections via Social Media

Williams has teased the Blue Bloods cast on social media. He praised Selleck for working with him in a memorable Instagram post, which also featured a selfie of the two of them. Identifying them as “seasoned experts,” he highlighted their camaraderie and background.

The Diminished Position of Industry

Barry McPherson, Williams’ fifteen-year agent, confirmed his departure and complimented his skill and gentle nature. Considering that Williams has been a popular figure in the film industry since the late 1970s, McPherson called him “an actor’s actor.”

The Sordid Accident

Williams was killed in a car crash not far from his Vermont home. Fire Chief Jacob Gribble said that Williams was struck by a car while riding his motorcycle on Route 30 close to Dorset. Preliminary investigations suggest that the incident might have happened because the car’s driver failed to notice Williams’ motorcycle as it was turning. Williams suffered severe injuries and was brought to a hospital in Albany, New York, where he was pronounced dead. Police are currently investigating the incident.

Suggestions from colleagues

Many colleagues, including Kim Cattrall, Laura Dern, Marilu Henner, Jonathan Bennett, Melissa Gilbert, and Gregory Smith, have expressed their deepest condolences. It was evident from everyone’s expression of affection and thanks that Williams had a great impact on those who knew him.

Treat Williams will always be remembered as a gifted and kind individual by both colleagues and fans. His kindness, his contributions to the entertainment business, and the people he impacted will always be cherished memories.
