Why Glen Powell Is Leaving Hollywood for Texas

Glen Powell, known for his role in Top Gun: Maverick, has made an unconventional decision to leave Los Angeles and move back to his home state of Texas. Despite his successful career, Powell explained that being in Hollywood has made him appreciate the importance of family and spending time with loved ones. He also revealed that he is close to completing his college degree, which is another reason for his relocation. Powell clarified that he is leaving Hollywood the place, not the industry. Powell mentioned that he has often felt like a “function” in Hollywood, where he gets invited to events without knowing the true intentions behind them. He desires a separation between his public and personal life, especially as his parents grow older and his niece and nephew are growing up.
