The billboard proudly showcases the restaurant’s embrace of traditional holiday greetings like “Merry Christmas” and “Happy Easter,” along with expressions of gratitude to veterans on Veterans Day.
Restaurant owner Kevin Scheunemann defends the sign, stating it was erected nearly four years ago to transparently reflect his and his staff’s commitment to serving God and country. The sign originally went up in response to a customer complaint about Christian music in the restaurant, and it has not caused further issues since then.
